Hatin' on 700CMX

Tony Tyrant hipped me to this. Some BMXers with a blog post the Tom Mosher Hubba Ledge photo and unleash the hate. Total BMX vs. Fixed thing that I wasn't even aware of. In New Haven, the fixed and bmx crews often cross-over -- we even throw in prizes for first BMX in our alleycats.
Oh well.
Check it out here ---> thecomeupbmx.
He then follows it up with another eloquent post.

Can't we all just get along??

Cutter Fork Update

As I've previously posted quite a few Scorchers are counting down the days until Volume releases the new fork for their cutter frame.  Today they posted a new prototype picture and specs.  According to Volume the forks are undergoing some "heavy duty testing,"  let's hope this means that a release date is right around the corner.   If anyone from Volume reads this get in touch with us, we'd gladly volunteer to test this fork out for you guys.

Hurry Up Volume

After seeing this video on Prolly's blog and getting a good laugh I realized that trick specific fixed gear frames and forks are lacking.  One company seeking to fill this void is Volume Bikes, and who better since they already make sick BMX frames. Myself and a few other Scorchers are anxiously awaiting the new Volume Cutter frame and fork supposedly coming out in February, check out the prototype photos.

Note the gussets and BMX style fork.

700c Barspin capability

Rumor has it that the frame and fork will be sold for under $400, and have a lifetime guarantee.   How can you beat that?  The fork itself will be sold separately for around $80 to anyone who can't afford the frame and has had, or wants to avoid, a catastrophic fork failure.
